It is a starchy powder extracted from Cassava roots. Native tapioca starch applications are quite diversified in various industries. In the paper industry, it is used to increase the elasticity and concentration of the paper before the pulp is pressed into sheets. In the textile industry, it is used in thread process in order to reduce friction and fraying, to increase the flexibility of the thread, to ensure printing on fabrics and accomplished better colour consistency and dirt protection.
